A mixed-material fragrance packaging concept inspired by library books, designed to turn scent discovery into a poetic opening experience.

∙ Book-Style Rigid Box
∙ Mixed-Material Packaging
∙ Niche Perfume Brand
For Libroaria, a Japanese niche fragrance brand inspired by the quiet world of libraries, packaging needed to feel more like a story object than a standard perfume box.

Senlarry Packaging developed a book-style rigid box structure that translates the act of reading into a fragrance discovery experience. The exterior resembles a small book, while the elastic band, acrylic cover detail, artificial diamond accent, and printed inner page create a layered visual and tactile experience.

The packaging combines paperboard structure with mixed decorative materials to support both product protection and brand storytelling. Each colorway gives a different scent its own character, while the full collection remains visually connected through a consistent book-inspired packaging system.

The Challenge
The project required a packaging solution that could express Libroaria's library-inspired concept while still functioning as a stable and refined fragrance box.
The design involved multiple material elements, including acrylic decoration, artificial diamond accents, elastic bands, paperboard structure, and printed inner pages. Each element needed to feel intentional, not over-decorated.
The challenge was to balance poetic brand storytelling with reliable structural execution.

The Solution
Senlarry Packaging developed the packaging as a book-style rigid box, using the opening logic of a book to create a more memorable fragrance reveal.
The elastic band works as both a functional closure and a visual detail. The acrylic and artificial diamond elements create a delicate focal point on the cover, while the printed inner page adds another layer of storytelling once the box is opened.
Inside, the structure was designed to hold the fragrance securely while keeping the reveal clean and controlled. Across the collection, different colors help distinguish each scent while maintaining a consistent visual system.
