A custom two-piece rigid box developed for a multi-component skincare starter kit. The packaging combines a separate lift-off lid and base, distinctive clipped corners, printed brand storytelling, and a custom paper-based insert system for organizing beauty tools, accessories, and supporting materials.
Designed for skincare brands that need the structured presentation of a rigid box without relying on foam or plastic-based product compartments.
This custom lid and base box was developed for a dermaplaning skincare starter kit containing a beauty tool, interchangeable blades, preparation products, accessories, and product guidance.
The separate lid lifts away completely, revealing the full kit in one view. Inside the base, custom paperboard compartments divide products of different sizes and functions into clearly defined areas. A central printed section creates the main visual focus, while the smaller side compartments hold supporting products and accessories.
The four clipped corners give the box a more distinctive silhouette than a standard rectangular lid and base box. The same corner geometry continues across the lid, base, and internal structure, requiring accurate die-cutting, wrapping, and component alignment.
The white, red, and black visual system connects the outer packaging, product information, inner compartments, and brand graphics. This allows the packaging to explain the complete routine while keeping every component visibly part of one skincare system.

The customer lifts the separate lid vertically away from the base. Unlike a hinged or magnetic box, the lid is completely removable, allowing the entire skincare system to be viewed at once.
The internal paper compartments then guide the customer through the product arrangement. The main product is given visual priority, while supporting components remain separated and easy to identify.
Fully customized. The overall box dimensions, lid depth, base height, clipped-corner angles, paperboard compartment sizes, product clearances, and finger-access openings are developed according to the dimensions and weight of each component.
The lid-to-base tolerance must be carefully controlled so that the lid closes securely while still lifting smoothly. For multi-product kits, insert height and compartment spacing are developed around both product protection and the intended presentation order.
